In his special UK presence on his worldwide tour, American scholar R. David Lances said that librarians have the power to change the world by "promoting informed democracy" because they addressed the delegates in the keynote speech at the inauguration ceremony of the CILIP Conference 2015 in Liverpool.
Talking to nearly 600 members of Britain and international libraries gathered at the St. George's Hall and information businesses, Lancash said:
"The library is not about books, and the library is not about the collection, nor are they about waiting for the service. Our libraries have mandatory, community-owned intermediaries, and libraries specialize in their construction Gaining knowledge are dedicated to the creators. "
In the Syracuse University School of Information Studies, Professor and Dean Scholar, human rights activist and Director of Liberty Shami Chakraborty, science fiction writer, journalist and activist Corree Doctor, and Guardian columnist Irwin James were the keynote speakers for new librarianship at the School of Information Studies.
Focusing on future information opportunities and challenges, the conference brings together skilled libraries, knowledge and information professionals in all areas of Britain and abroad. The importance of understanding the information and the importance of understanding and managing information for a skilled work force was highlighted by the President of CCIIP, Janse Perry's birthplace, who made Hillsborough Independent Panel as part of the Secretariat. Perry led the disclosure of information panel in Liverpool Cathedral and planned.
The conference has an opportunity to explore the idea box, which is a major new innovation designed to reach important information and culture to help individuals and communities to rebuild themselves in human crises.
